The Taylors & Company Ranch Hand is a .45 LC revolver that bridges classic cowboy aesthetics with practical shooting. Built on a proven cattleman-style frame, this 7.5-inch single-action revolver delivers the timeless appeal of Old West design without the premium price tag of higher-end reproductions. The case-hardened frame paired with blued steel and brass backstrap and trigger guard gives it genuine character—the kind of finish that tells a story. Whether you're into Cowboy Action Shooting, collecting vintage-style revolvers, or just want a reliable .45 LC that doesn't break the bank, the Ranch Hand earns its place on the range or in the holster.
What makes this revolver stand out is the marriage of form and function. The case-hardened frame isn't just cosmetic; it's durable steel finished with that distinctive mottled patina. The smaller Navy-size walnut grip fits hands that want something a bit more refined than a full-size dragoon, and the fixed sights—front blade and rear frame notch—are straightforward and field-proven. At 2.70 pounds and 13.10 inches overall, it's a natural handler that won't fatigue on a long day of shooting.
Maintenance is refreshingly simple. The steel portions follow standard gun care—your usual cleaning routine and light oil. The brass backstrap and trigger guard can be kept looking sharp with a metal polish like Flitz if you prefer the shine, or you can let them age naturally. This is a revolver that rewards shooters who understand that a working gun doesn't need to be pristine to be respected.

Frequently Asked Questions
What's included with the Taylors & Company Ranch Hand?
You're getting the revolver itself with its 7.5-inch barrel, Navy-size walnut grip, and fixed sights. No accessories are listed in the product information.
Is the Ranch Hand a good choice for Cowboy Action Shooting?
Yes. The .45 LC caliber, 6-round capacity, and single-action design make it well-suited for SASS matches and similar disciplines. The 7.5-inch barrel is a popular competition length.
What's the difference between the case-hardened frame and the blued parts?
The case-hardened frame has a distinctive mottled finish and provides durability, while the blued barrel and cylinder are finished in traditional blued steel. The brass backstrap and trigger guard are polished for contrast. These are three different finishes on one revolver.
Does the smaller Navy-size grip fit standard-sized hands?
The Navy-size walnut grip is smaller than a full dragoon grip, so it suits shooters with smaller hands or those who prefer a more refined grip profile. If you have larger hands or are accustomed to full-size single-actions, try one before committing.
