Product Overview

The Taylors & Co Ranch Hand Standard .45 LC revolver brings authentic Old West character to the modern shooter. Built on a classic single-action platform, this case-hardened .45 LC wheelgun delivers the look and feel of period-correct firearms that defined the frontier—without requiring a trip to a museum. If you're drawn to traditional revolvers for Cowboy Action Shooting, historical recreation, or simply appreciate firearms that honor their heritage, the Ranch Hand Standard offers genuine craftsmanship at a practical price point.

The standout detail here is the case-hardened frame paired with a blue-finished barrel and cylinder. That color-case-hardened treatment isn't just cosmetic; it's a nod to how these guns were actually built over a century ago, using heat-treating methods that create those distinctive mottled grays and browns. It's the kind of detail that separates a gun with real character from a generic shooter. The walnut grip rounds out the traditional aesthetic without sacrificing control or comfort.

At 5½ inches, the barrel strikes a balance between sight radius and handling in the saddle or at the range. The six-round .45 LC cylinder gives you respectable capacity, and the blade front sight keeps things straightforward—no fancy optics mounting, no complications. At 11 inches overall and 2.30 pounds, this revolver sits naturally in a holster and won't tire your arm during a long day of shooting. The Ranch Hand Standard is built for shooters who value authenticity, reliable mechanics, and a firearm that looks as good as it performs.
