Remington 700 Black Bolt-Action Rifle - Model R27557
The Remington 700 Black Bolt-Action Rifle Model R27557 is a right-hand long-action receiver and bolt assembly built for shooters who demand a proven platform. The 700 has earned its reputation as the foundation for custom builds, precision rifles, and dependable hunting weapons across North America. This particular configuration features a .532 bolt face, making it ready for long-action magnum cartridges—the kind you'd reach for when hunting elk, moose, or pushing shots across open country. If you're assembling a custom rifle, upgrading an older 700, or building from a barreled action, this receiver and bolt give you the quality core that gunsmiths and serious shooters have relied on for decades.
The receiver comes finished in Remington's durable blued steel, a classic look that's also proven protection against the elements. The externally adjustable X Mark Pro trigger is included, which means you won't need to source that piece separately. The X Mark Pro is known for crisp, predictable break and user adjustment—a solid feature for a rifle that might see time at the range, in the field, or both. Keep in mind this is a receiver and bolt assembly, so you'll need to source your own receiver plug, recoil lug, trigger guard, and associated screws to complete your build.
Whether you're a gunsmith, a builder with specific performance goals in mind, or someone restoring a classic 700 platform rifle, this Model R27557 gives you a reliable, time-tested starting point. The long-action magnum configuration opens up options for larger calibers and heavier bullets—exactly what serious hunters and long-range shooters need when the job demands it.

Frequently Asked Questions
What cartridges will this receiver and bolt handle?
The .532 bolt face and long-action configuration are designed for long-action magnum cartridges. Your gunsmith or build specifications will confirm compatibility with your specific caliber choice.
What's included and what do I need to source separately?
The receiver, bolt, and externally adjustable X Mark Pro trigger are included. You will need to source a receiver plug, recoil lug, trigger guard, and their associated screws separately to complete the assembly.
Is this a complete rifle or a parts assembly?
This is a receiver and bolt assembly—the core of a bolt-action rifle. It's designed for custom builds, gunsmith work, or as a replacement for an existing 700 platform rifle. You'll need to add a barrel, stock, and other components to create a finished rifle.
Can I use this to upgrade or restore an older Remington 700?
Yes. The Remington 700 platform has remained consistent enough that this long-action receiver and bolt can be used for upgrades and restorations, provided your project calls for a long-action magnum configuration.
