Remington 700 Silver Bolt-Action Rifle - Model R27559
The Remington 700 Silver Bolt-Action Rifle (Model R27559) is a purpose-built platform for hunters and shooters who want to start with a solid, proven foundation and build outward. Built on Remington's legendary 700 receiver—trusted for decades in everything from hunting camps to match ranges—this short-action rifle is chambered in .308 Winchester, one of the most versatile and reliable centerfire cartridges for North American hunting and long-range target work. Whether you're assembling a custom hunting rifle, a precision .308 build, or a general-purpose field gun, the Remington 700 Silver gives you the mechanical fundamentals that have made the 700 platform the industry standard.
The heart of any reliable bolt-action rifle is the action and trigger, and this model delivers on both counts. The short action design is purpose-fit for .308 Winchester, keeping receiver length and overall rifle dimensions compact without sacrificing reliability. The externally adjustable X-Mark Pro trigger gives you the control to dial in break weight to suit your style—whether you're stalking game or settling in for a precision session at the range. Steel construction throughout ensures the durability expected from a Remington 700, with minimal maintenance and maximum longevity under field conditions.
This is a barreled receiver, which means you're starting with the most critical parts of the rifle already fitted and headspaced. That translates to a shorter build timeline and the confidence that your foundation is sound. If you have a gunsmith's touch, or you work with a local smith, you can complete the build with furniture, optics, and stocks tailored exactly to your vision. The Remington 700 platform also means access to an enormous aftermarket ecosystem—stocks, triggers, barrels, and chassis systems designed to work seamlessly with the 700 receiver.
