The Henry X Model .30-30 lever action rifle brings modern features to a classic platform that's been trusted by American hunters for over a century. This .30-30 Winchester is built on Henry's proven lever-action receiver and topped with a 21.375-inch round blued barrel, making it a natural choice for deer and elk hunting at moderate ranges. Whether you're hunting thick timber or working at the range, the X Model strips away unnecessary weight while packing the ergonomic upgrades that matter to modern hunters—think large-loop lever for gloved hands, integrated rails, and a threaded barrel ready for your suppressor or muzzle devices.

The X Model chambers the .30-30, one of the most effective and accessible cartridges for North American hunting. Its 5-round capacity keeps you loaded for follow-up shots, and the transfer bar safety gives you confidence in the field or around the bench. Fiber optic sights—front and rear—let you acquire your target quickly in low light, or you can mount your favorite scope with the factory-drilled and tapped receiver and supplied Weaver 63B base. The black synthetic stock and rubber recoil pad are built to handle the elements and real-world use, while the 8.07-pound weight balances firepower with portability over rough country.

If you want a .30-30 that honors lever-action tradition without apology, but adds the practical touches hunters have asked for, the Henry X deserves a hard look. It handles like a rifle, points naturally, and puts rounds downrange with the reliability you expect from Henry Repeating Arms.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the Henry X Model .30-30 a good rifle for hunting deer and elk?

Yes. The .30-30 Winchester is a proven cartridge for deer hunting and is effective on elk at closer ranges—typically out to 125 yards. The fiber optic sights and threaded barrel give you flexibility to set it up for your hunting situation, and the lever action is fast and reliable in the field.

Can I mount a scope on this rifle?

Yes. The receiver is drilled and tapped for scope mounting, and a Weaver 63B base is included. The integrated M-Lok rail offers additional mounting options for accessories. You can run the factory fiber optic sights or go full glass—your choice.

What's the overall length and weight of the Henry X?

The rifle measures 40.375 inches overall and weighs 8.07 pounds, making it balanced for travel through brush and timber without sacrificing the firepower of the .30-30 cartridge.

Is the barrel threaded for a suppressor?

Yes. The barrel is threaded 5/8x24, which is a standard pitch compatible with most modern suppressors and muzzle devices. This opens up options for suppressed hunting or range shooting if you choose to go that route.
