The Great Lakes Firearms AR-15 in .350 Legend is a modern, versatile platform that brings a straightforward semi-automatic rifle to hunters and shooters who want a cartridge built for close- to mid-range performance. This 16-inch rifle chambers the .350 Legend—a compact, flat-shooting round that delivers clean, ethical energy without excessive recoil—making it accessible for hunters of various sizes and experience levels, while staying within the effective range of many game species and hunting regulations. With a 5-round magazine and Cerakote finish, this is a rifle that handles real-world use while maintaining corrosion resistance in the field.

Great Lakes built this rifle with a practical, shootable setup. The barrel is 16 inches with a 1:10 twist (available in either 416R stainless steel or 4150 Chrome-Moly Nitride) threaded at 9/16 x 24, and comes with a muzzle brake to help manage recoil. Inside, you'll find a carbine-length gas system with a 0.750 black oxide gas block, an aluminum 7075 upper and lower receiver, and a full-length Picatinny rail handguard (15.25 inches of 6061 aluminum) for mounting optics and accessories. The trigger breaks at 5.5–6 pounds, mil-spec polymer grip, and modified M4 feed ramps round out the build.

At 6.4 pounds and 33.25 inches overall, this rifle balances practical handling with stability. It ships without factory sights—leaving your rail clear for the optic and magnification you choose—and comes ready to add lights, lasers, or other AR accessories. If you're looking for a straightforward .350 Legend platform for hunting or range work, Great Lakes' focus on core functionality and clean engineering makes this a solid choice.

Frequently Asked Questions

What optic mounting options does this rifle support?

The rifle ships with a full-length Picatinny rail on the handguard and no factory sights, so you can mount any standard Picatinny optic or sight of your choice. The upper receiver is also Picatinny-compatible, giving you flexibility in optic placement and magnification.

Is this .350 Legend AR suitable for hunting?

Yes. The .350 Legend is a hunting-focused cartridge designed for close- to mid-range use, and this rifle's 16-inch barrel, clean trigger, and rail system support hunting setups. Always verify local hunting regulations for the game species and seasons where you plan to hunt.

Can I use AR-15 aftermarket parts and accessories on this rifle?

The rifle is built on a standard .350 Legend AR-15 platform with mil-spec components—upper, lower, grip, gas block, and handguard—so it accepts common AR-15 optics, lights, lasers, and rail-mounted accessories. Verify compatibility with caliber-specific components like magazines and loading data, as the .350 Legend differs from standard 5.56 or .308.

What's included in the box?

The rifle ships with one 5-round magazine and a muzzle brake. No sights, optics, or other accessories are included; you'll need to add an optic to the Picatinny rail to aim the rifle.
