The Great Lakes Firearms AR-15 .350 Legend is a modern sporting rifle built on the proven AR platform and chambered for one of today's most effective straight-wall hunting cartridges. This 16-inch rifle splits the difference between maneuverability and velocity, making it at home in timber stands, brush-choked terrain, or tight shooting lanes where a traditional long-range rig feels cumbersome. The .350 Legend delivers rifle-class power in a package that's lighter recoil and easier to shoot accurately than larger centerfire rounds—ideal for hunters in states with straight-wall cartridge requirements or anyone looking for a capable, versatile rifle that doesn't punish the shoulder.
Great Lakes built this rifle on a quality foundation: 7075 aluminum upper and lower receivers, a 16-inch barrel with 1:10 twist available in either 416 stainless steel or 4150 chrome-moly nitride, and a full-length 15.25-inch Picatinny rail handguard machined from 6061 aluminum. The gas system is carbine length with a 0.750 black oxide gas block—proven geometry that keeps the action running smooth and reliable. The rifle ships with a muzzle brake, one 5-round magazine, and a standard mil-spec trigger and grip. All told, you're looking at a no-frills, honest working rifle that weighs just 6.4 pounds and measures 33.25 inches overall.
The bronze Cerakote finish isn't just aesthetics—it's practical protection against the elements and offers a clean, professional appearance that works as well in the field as it does on the bench. With no sights included, the upper receiver and handguard are ready for your optic, red dot, or backup iron sights of choice. Whether you're a .350 Legend devotee, a hunter in a straight-wall state, or someone who appreciates a lightweight, controllable rifle platform, this Great Lakes build delivers honest performance without hype.

Frequently Asked Questions
What makes the .350 Legend a good hunting cartridge?
The .350 Legend is a straight-wall cartridge designed specifically for states with straight-wall or pistol-caliber hunting requirements. It delivers rifle-class power and trajectory superior to handgun rounds, with significantly less recoil than larger rifle calibers. It's effective for deer and similar game at moderate ranges, making it ideal for brush hunting, stand hunting, or timber work where longer-range shooting isn't practical.
Is this rifle set up for optics, or does it come with sights?
No sights are included. The rifle has a full-length Picatinny rail on the handguard and a standard AR-15 upper receiver, so you can mount any optic, red dot, magnified scope, or backup iron sights that suit your intended use. This gives you complete flexibility to build the rifle exactly as you want it.
What's in the box?
The rifle comes with one 5-round magazine and a muzzle brake. Sights, optics, and additional magazines are not included and must be purchased separately.
Can I use standard AR-15 magazines and accessories with this rifle?
This is an AR-15 platform rifle in .350 Legend, but you'll need magazines and ammunition specifically designed for .350 Legend—standard 5.56 or .223 magazines and ammo are not compatible. AR-platform accessories like rails, grips, stocks, and handguards will generally fit, provided they're designed for AR-15 geometry.
