The Charter Arms Professional II .357 Magnum revolver is a compact, versatile wheelgun built for shooters who want a reliable defensive or backup gun without unnecessary bulk. Model 63526 pairs a 3-inch barrel with a stainless steel frame and Blacknitride+™ finish—a tough, corrosion-resistant coating that protects against daily carry wear while keeping the gun lightweight at 23 ounces. It's the kind of revolver that works equally well in a nightstand drawer, an ankle holster, or a truck glove box.
The 6-shot capacity and standard hammer give you straightforward, no-frills operation. The wood grip adds traditional feel and a secure hold, even during quick presentations. At this size and weight, the .357 Magnum chambering means you've got genuine stopping power without sacrificing shootability—.38 Special rounds will cycle too, so you can practice cheaper or dial back recoil if you need to. This is a gun that rewards familiarity; the more you shoot it, the faster you'll be with it.
Charter Arms has been making compact revolvers for decades, and the Professional II reflects that experience. The blacknitride finish is particularly nice; it resists rust and holster wear better than standard bluing, and it won't show fingerprints like polished stainless. If you're looking for a concealable revolver that doesn't feel like a compromise—one that's genuinely pleasant to shoot and carry—this is worth a serious look.
