The Weatherby Sorix 20/28 3-inch shotgun is a modern inertia-operated semi-auto built for hunters and clay shooters who demand reliability in real-world conditions. This dual-gauge gun pairs Weatherby's field-proven recoil system with thoughtful ergonomics—oversized controls, a competition-cut receiver for fast reloads, and a stepped rib with LPA fiber optic sights that let you pick up targets without fuss. Whether you're working a duck blind at dawn or running a clay course, the Sorix is built to cycle cleanly and stay in your hands when conditions get rough.
A standout feature is the SHIFT SYSTEM, which lets left-handed shooters swap the charging handle and safety for true southpaw operation—no compromise, no awkward reaches. The receiver is drilled and tapped (8-40 holes) for optics mounts, so you can add a red dot or shotgun scope straight out of the box. Adjustable stock shims let you dial in cast and comb height for your personal fit. The Midnight Marsh finish—a hand-painted brush pattern applied in Sheridan, Wyoming—delivers understated durability on a Cerakote-protected receiver and barrel. The stock features textured grip panels and a soft cheekpiece for comfort during extended shooting sessions.
The Sorix ships with Weatherby's Crio Plus choke system and includes five interchangeable chokes (Cylinder, Improved Cylinder, Modified, Improved Modified, and Full) plus a choke wrench and carrying case. That flexibility means you can dial the constriction to match your loads and distance, whether you're targeting fast ducks, waterfowl, or clays. Built in Italy and finished in the USA, the Sorix combines European build precision with American attention to detail.
