The Weatherby Mark V Hunter Bronze in 6.5-300 Wby Mag is a long-range bolt-action rifle built on one of the toughest actions in production. If you're serious about magnum hunting—whether you're chasing elk at distance or pushing the limits of what a rifle can do—the Mark V's nine-lug design and triple-steel cartridge support are engineered to handle the hottest loads safely. The 26" barrel wears a Burnt Bronze Cerakote finish that looks sharp and shrugs off the elements, while the new polymer stock borrows ergonomics from Weatherby's Backcountry platform to keep things lightweight and pointable in the field.

What sets the Mark V apart is the obsessive engineering. The bolt features interrupted-thread-style lockup across nine lugs, deep fluting to reduce weight and friction, and a fully-enclosed shroud with three gas relief ports—real safety features, not theater. That Burnt Bronze Cerakote on the barrel and receiver pairs with graphite black on the bolt to give you a tough, business-like aesthetic. The stock's flat-bottomed forend and ambidextrous palm swells work for right and left-handed shooters, while aluminum pillars keep things rigid where it counts.

The 6.5-300 Wby Mag is a potent cartridge in a rifle built to live with it. The 1/2"-28 threaded muzzle accepts suppressors or brakes, and the extended, removable bolt knob lets you dial in the throw angle that works for your shooting style. Add pillar-bedded construction and you've got a rifle that will shoot as hard as you're willing to load it.

Frequently Asked Questions

What makes the Mark V action so strong?

The Weatherby Mark V uses a nine-lug bolt design with interrupted-thread-style lockup inspired by precision rifle engineering. That's paired with three rings of steel around the cartridge when it's chambered, a fully-enclosed bolt shroud, and three gas relief ports in the bolt body to manage pressure in case of an ammunition failure. It's built to safely handle magnum cartridges that push the envelope.

Can I use a suppressor or muzzle brake on this rifle?

Yes. The barrel is threaded 1/2"-28, which accepts both suppressors and muzzle brakes of that standard.

Is the bolt knob removable?

Yes. The Mark V Hunter features an extended removable bolt knob, so you can swap it out or adjust the throw angle to suit your preference and shooting style.

Does the stock fit both right and left-handed shooters?

The advanced polymer stock includes ambidextrous palm swells, making it accessible for both right and left-handed shooters.
