The Weatherby Mark V Accumark in 6.5-300 Wby Mag is a right-handed hunting rifle engineered for shooters who demand precision at distance and terminal performance in the field. Built on Weatherby's legendary Mark V action, the Accumark combines a lightweight, fluted barrel with a hand-laid fiberglass stock and aluminum bedding blocks—a formula proven across decades of long-range hunting. The 6.5-300 Weatherby Magnum is a potent cartridge that trades recoil for velocity and flat trajectory, making it a serious choice for hunters after larger game at extended ranges or those who simply want to reach out confidently beyond typical shooting distances.
The matte gel coat finish and Cerakote-treated receiver, bolt, and safety give the Accumark a professional, no-nonsense appearance while providing genuine corrosion resistance in demanding conditions. The Monte Carlo fiberglass stock features spiderweb accents and is engineered with raised comb geometry and drop specifications tuned for proper scope mounting and repeatable precision shooting. At 8.3 pounds and 48.25 inches overall, it strikes a practical balance between shootability and portability—not a featherweight mountain rifle, but light enough to carry a day in the field without fatigue. The 26-inch barrel in a #3 contour delivers velocity and sight radius without becoming unwieldy.
This is a rifle for serious long-range hunters and shooters who appreciate Weatherby's attention to mechanical detail. It arrives ready to mount glass and load ammunition—no gunsmithing required. Whether you're dialing for shots at distance on an antelope hunt or testing your precision at the range, the Mark V Accumark delivers the inherent accuracy and build quality that defines the Weatherby name.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the 6.5-300 Weatherby Magnum and who should shoot it?
The 6.5-300 Weatherby Magnum is a high-velocity, long-range hunting cartridge that delivers flat trajectory and energy retention at distance. It's ideal for hunters pursuing elk, mule deer, and other medium to large game, or precision shooters who want to stretch shots beyond 300 yards confidently. It does generate more recoil than standard 6.5 Creedmoor or .308 Winchester, so shooters should be prepared for that trade-off in exchange for velocity and range.
Is this rifle set up for scope mounting right out of the box?
The Mark V Accumark arrives with the receiver drilled and tapped for standard Picatinny or Weatherby-style scope bases, but does not include a scope, rings, or bases. You'll need to mount your choice of optics and bases separately before heading to the range or field.
What makes the Mark V action different from other rifle platforms?
The Weatherby Mark V is known for its 6-lug bolt design, which creates a short 54-degree bolt throw for fast cycling and inherent strength. The action is built for magnum cartridges and is widely praised for reliability and accuracy. The Accumark model builds on this foundation with precision-engineered bedding and stock geometry optimized for long-range shooting.
Can I customize or upgrade this rifle later?
Yes. The Mark V Accumark is built on one of the most customizable receiver platforms in the Weatherby line. That said, any modifications should be handled by a qualified gunsmith to maintain safety and accuracy.
