The Weatherby Mark V Accumark in .257 Wby Mag is a purpose-built long-range hunting rifle that combines precision engineering with field-ready durability. This right-hand model pairs Weatherby's legendary Mark V receiver—known for strength and reliability across generations of hunters—with a lightweight, customizable platform designed to deliver accuracy at distance and the power to take large game decisively. The Accumark's fluted barrel and hand-laid fiberglass stock make it a serious choice for hunters who demand both accuracy and dependability in challenging terrain.
What sets the Accumark apart is its construction philosophy: every component is selected to reduce weight without sacrificing rigidity or performance. The 26-inch fluted barrel wears a dual-tone finish—spun stainless steel paired with graphite black Cerakote—that looks sharp while standing up to weather and hard use. The receiver, bolt, bolt knob, and safety are finished in matching black Cerakote for a cohesive, professional appearance. Inside, aluminum bedding blocks work with the hand-laid fiberglass stock to maintain zero shift through repeated firing strings and temperature swings.
The stock itself deserves mention: a raised Monte Carlo fiberglass design with matte gel coat and spiderweb accents provides both visual appeal and functional grip. At 8.3 pounds, the rifle stays manageable for backcountry hunts or long days behind a bench, yet the .257 Weatherby Magnum chambering delivers serious velocity and energy. The 1-in-10 inch twist rate stabilizes modern bullets across the caliber's range, and the 3+1 magazine capacity gives you enough rounds to manage a hunting situation without bulk. Overall length is 48.25 inches with a 13.625-inch length of pull, fitting most adult shooters comfortably.
If you're shopping a Weatherby Mark V for serious hunting—whether mule deer in high country, elk at distance, or long-range target work—the Accumark delivers the blend of ruggedness, accuracy, and manageable weight that separates working hunting rifles from safe queens.
