The Weatherby Mark V Accumark in .300 Wby Mag is a right-handed hunting rifle built for shooters who demand long-range accuracy without compromise. This is a precision instrument disguised as a workhorse—a rifle that marries Weatherby's legendary magnum performance with a lightweight, modular platform designed for both serious hunters and competitive shooters. The Accumark combines a fluted barrel, hand-laid fiberglass stock, and aluminum bedding blocks to deliver the kind of consistency that matters when your shot counts.

The .300 Wby Mag is one of the most respected magnum cartridges in North America, known for flat trajectories, hard-hitting velocity, and the energy needed to cleanly take large game at extended range. Paired with the Mark V's proven right-hand action and this rifle's meticulous construction, you're looking at a genuine long-range hunting platform that won't let you down in the field. The 26-inch fluted barrel—finished in two-toned spun stainless with graphite black Cerakote—sheds weight while maintaining the stiffness needed for precision, and the receiver, bolt, and safety all wear the same durable black Cerakote finish.

The hand-laid fiberglass stock is the standout here. With a raised Monte Carlo comb, matte gel coat, and spiderweb accents, it's not just durable—it's built to manage recoil and lock into a cheekweld that works. Aluminum bedding blocks keep barrel harmonics consistent, and the 3+1 magazine capacity gives you four rounds on hand. At 8.3 pounds and 48.25 inches overall, this rifle balances enough substance to shoot accurately while staying packable for a day in the field. The 1-10 twist rate is optimized for the magnum's heavier projectiles, and at a 13.625-inch length of pull, it's built for a standard adult shooter.

If you're serious about .300 Wby Mag performance and want a rifle that blends customization potential (the Accumark platform accepts both 6-lug and 9-lug upgrades) with proven field reliability, this is your gun.

Frequently Asked Questions

What makes the Mark V Accumark different from other .300 Wby Mag hunting rifles?

The Accumark combines a fluted barrel, hand-laid fiberglass stock, and aluminum bedding blocks—features that reduce weight without sacrificing the barrel stiffness needed for long-range accuracy. The platform is also modular; it accepts both 6-lug and 9-lug upgrades, making it one of the most customizable Weatherby models available.

Is the .300 Wby Mag appropriate for long-range hunting?

Yes. The .300 Wby Mag is known for flat trajectories, high velocity, and hard-hitting energy at extended range, making it a proven choice for long-range hunting of large game. The 1-10 twist rate on this rifle is specifically engineered to stabilize heavier .300 Wby Mag projectiles.
