The Weatherby Mark V Accumark in .257 Wby Mag is a left-handed rifle built for hunters and long-range shooters who demand precision and reliability in a package that handles rough conditions. This is a purpose-built magnum rifle—not a do-everything compromise. The .257 Wby Mag delivers velocity and trajectory that cut wind deflection at distance, making it especially effective on medium to large game where flat shooting matters. The left-hand configuration means you get a rifle that fits your natural shooting position, not a converted afterthought.

What sets the Accumark apart is its construction: a fluted, #3 contour barrel minimizes weight without sacrificing stiffness, and the 26-inch length balances velocity gains with practical handling. The hand-laid fiberglass stock with spiderweb accents isn't just aesthetics—it's engineered for stability and durability in field conditions, with aluminum bedding blocks anchoring the barrel and action for consistent shot-to-shot performance. The two-tone finish (fluted barrel in stainless with graphite black Cerakote, receiver and bolt also Cerakote'd in black) handles both cosmetics and corrosion resistance in one design.

This is the rifle you build a hunt around, not grab on impulse. The 1-in-10 twist rate is spec'd for .257 Wby Mag cartridges, and the three-position safety keeps you ready without fumbling. With a 3+1 magazine capacity and 13.625-inch length of pull, it's sized for a solid, repeatable shooting position. The overall weight of 8.3 pounds keeps you mobile in the field, and the 48.25-inch overall length won't catch on gear during rough terrain or vehicle transitions.

Weatherby's Mark V platform is known for chambering premium cartridges that cost more than your average .30-06 round, so you're investing in a rifle that justifies its ammunition and demands accuracy from the shooter. If you're serious about the .257 Wby Mag and need a left-hand action that won't force you into a right-hand rifle, the Accumark delivers.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this rifle set up for right-handed or left-handed shooters?

This is a left-handed rifle. The action, safety, and bolt are all configured for southpaw operation. If you shoot left-handed, this is a proper fit; right-handed shooters should look at Mark V models configured for right-hand use.

What is the .257 Wby Mag, and what is it used for?

The .257 Wby Mag is a magnum rifle cartridge known for high velocity and flat trajectory. It's commonly used for medium to large game hunting where extended-range accuracy and velocity retention matter. Ammunition is more specialized and typically costs more than standard cartridges, so this is a rifle for hunters committed to the caliber.

What's included with the rifle?

The facts provided specify the rifle itself and its features. For details on what accessories, documentation, or optional equipment may be included, please contact Bosque Outdoors directly.

How much does the Accumark weigh, and is it practical for long hunts?

The rifle weighs 8.3 pounds, which is moderate for a magnum hunting rifle—light enough for a day in the field but substantial enough to absorb recoil. The 26-inch barrel and fluted contour keep weight down without sacrificing barrel stiffness and velocity. Carry comfort depends on your pack setup and physical tolerance, but this weight is manageable for most hunters during typical hunting days.
