The Weatherby 307 Alpine MDT in .257 Weatherby Magnum is a modern bolt-action rifle purpose-built for hunters and precision shooters who refuse to compromise between raw capability and pack weight. Weatherby's newest Model 307 platform pairs a rigid, 2-lug fully cylindrical action with MDT's ultralight carbon fiber chassis—the result is a rig that threads the needle between field-practical ergonomics and long-range accuracy. The 28" spiral-fluted barrel, finished in Cerakote and crowned with an included AccuBrake, delivers the velocity and velocity consistency that the .257 Weatherby Magnum is known for, while the muzzle brake tames recoil on every shot.

This is a rifle for the hunter or shooter who's done settling for standard factory stocks. The MDT HNT26 folding chassis collapses over 9" from full length, letting you stash it in a daypack or truck cab without looking like you're hauling an arsenal. The adjustable length-of-pull and cheek rest dial in your natural sight picture, whether you're prone at the range or stretched across a pack in alpine terrain. ARCA rail integration and AICS magazine compatibility mean you're not locked into proprietary parts—modern aftermarket triggers, stocks, rails, and mounts work out of the box.

The 307 action itself is smooth and straightforward: spiral-fluted bolt, tool-less disassembly, M16 extractor, and a side bolt release that keeps your grip uncluttered. Weatherby fitted it with a TriggerTech trigger tuned for clean breaks and zero creep. Weight is claimed at 26 ounces for the chassis alone, so you're building a rig that moves fast and doesn't punish your knees on the descent. This isn't a safe queen or a legacy rifle—it's a modern, modular platform built to hunt hard and shoot straight.
