Frequently Asked Questions
Is the 1873 Cattleman .357 Magnum good for hunting?
Yes. The .357 Magnum is a proven hunting round for medium game at moderate ranges. The 5.5-inch barrel on this large-frame revolver gives you adequate velocity, and the six-shot capacity provides margin for follow-ups if needed. Hunting application depends on local regulations, game, and your shot placement skills.
What's the difference between the large frame and smaller frame Cattlemans?
The large frame is built stronger and heavier, designed to handle the full power of .357 Magnum reliably and safely. Smaller frames are typically chambered in lighter calibers like .38 Special or .22 LR. This gun's frame is engineered for the .357 round.
Does it come with spare grips or a holster?
The supplied facts do not detail accessories or holster inclusions. Contact Bosque Outdoors directly to confirm what's included with this revolver.
Can I use .38 Special ammunition in this .357 Magnum revolver?
The revolver is chambered in .357 Magnum. Compatibility with other cartridges should be verified with the manufacturer or a qualified gunsmith—never assume a firearm will safely fire ammunition not marked on the barrel.
