The Remington Alpha 1 Hunter 700 in .223 Remington is a modern bolt-action rifle built for shooters who demand precision without compromise. This rifle strips away unnecessary complexity while adding smart, practical features that matter in the field—tool-less firing pin disassembly for fast cleaning, an enlarged ejection port for reliable feeding, and a sleek external bolt release positioned on the left side of the receiver. Whether you're zeroing at the range or hunting varmints and small game, the Alpha 1 Hunter delivers the accuracy and handling that made the 700 platform legendary.

The barrel is the heart of any rifle, and Remington equipped this one with a round receiver, precision-ground recoil lugs, and a 5R profile to maximize modern ammunition performance. The one-piece spiral-fluted bolt body keeps weight down and rigidity up, while the changeable bolt handle lets you customize fit and operation. An 11-degree target crown protects accuracy shot after shot. All of this rides in an AG composite carbon fiber stock with a Pachmayr recoil pad—lightweight, durable, and finished in a practical hunter profile that won't weigh you down in the field.

Trigger control defines the shooter experience. The Alpha 1 Hunter comes equipped with a 3 lb. Elite Hunter Timney straight trigger—crisp, reliable, and tuned for precision work. The aluminum Oberndorf-style trigger guard and Picatinny rail with 8-40 scope thread screws mean you can mount glass quickly and securely. A longer internal magazine box accommodates extended case lengths, and while the rifle is compatible with older 700 stocks, a longer magwell may require inletting.

Built for hunters and range shooters who value efficiency and accuracy, the Remington Alpha 1 Hunter 700 is a no-nonsense rifle ready to go to work.
