The Remington 700 CDL .270 Winchester bolt-action rifle represents a classic choice for deer and medium-game hunters who value reliability, clean lines, and a rifle that points naturally. The CDL—which stands for Classic Deluxe—strips away unnecessary tactical trappings to deliver what matters: a 24-inch satin blue barrel, American walnut furniture, and the legendary 700 receiver platform that has anchored countless hunting seasons across North America. Built around the .270 Winchester cartridge, this rifle delivers the flat trajectory and energy retention serious hunters expect, with a 4-round magazine capacity and a 1-in-10 right-hand twist that stabilizes factory ammunition effectively.

The fit and feel of the CDL emphasizes ergonomics and control. A 1⅛-inch length of pull accommodates most shooters comfortably, while the drop measurements (1⅜ inches at both comb and heel) place your cheek naturally for scope alignment and sight picture. The American walnut stock ages beautifully and provides a traditional, purposeful aesthetic that belongs in a hunting blind or on a mountain ridge. This is a rifle that works hard without demanding constant maintenance, and its modular design means upgrades and optics mounting are straightforward.

Whether you're a hunter returning to the .270 Winchester after years with other calibers, or someone building a second rifle for a family member, the 700 CDL delivers proven performance in a package that won't nickel-and-dime you with unnecessary features. At 44½ inches overall, it's handy enough for brush but stable enough for longer shooting. Pair it with quality ammunition and optics, and you have a rifle ready for whatever your season demands.
