The Remington 700 in .270 Winchester is one of the most trusted bolt-action hunting rifles in America, and this 24" barrel version delivers the accuracy and reliability that have made the 700 platform the go-to choice for deer, elk, and long-range hunters for generations. Built on Remington's legendary controlled-round-feed action, this rifle pairs a stainless steel construction with a matte black synthetic stock—a combination that handles tough weather and field conditions without flinching. Whether you're glassing from a ridge at first light or working through dense timber, the .270 Win offers the flat trajectory and energy retention serious hunters depend on.

At 7.375 pounds with a 24-inch barrel, this rifle balances portability with velocity. The 1:10 twist rate is optimized for standard .270 ammunition, and the four-round capacity keeps you ready without unnecessary bulk. The synthetic stock won't swell or warp in rain or snow, and the stainless steel finish resists corrosion in any season. With an overall length of 44.5 inches and a 13.375-inch length of pull, the ergonomics work for most shooters in standard positions, though stock modifications are available if you need a custom fit.

This is a rifle that shows up to work every season—no excuses, no surprises. The 700 action is bedded and headspaced at the factory, so you can load ammo and start hunting. If you want to upgrade the trigger, glass it, or customize the stock down the road, the aftermarket support for Remington 700s is essentially unlimited. That's part of why hunters keep coming back to this platform.

Frequently Asked Questions

What game can I hunt with a .270 Winchester?

The .270 Winchester is an excellent all-around cartridge for deer, black bear, and elk. Its flat trajectory and energy retention make it effective at longer ranges, and it's been a staple for North American hunters for decades.

Will the stainless steel finish hold up in wet conditions?

Yes. The 416 stainless steel barrel and receiver are corrosion-resistant and designed to handle rain, snow, and humid environments without rusting. The synthetic stock also won't swell or delaminate in moisture.

Can I mount an optic on this rifle?

The Remington 700 platform accepts Picatinny and Weaver-style scope rings and bases. You'll need to add your preferred mounting system, rings, and optic separately.

What's the length of pull, and will it fit me?

The length of pull is 13.375 inches, which is standard for most adult shooters. If you're significantly taller or shorter, you can adjust fit with aftermarket stocks or pads, or contact us about custom options.
