The Howa M1500 Standard Hunter in 6.5 Creedmoor is a no-nonsense bolt-action rifle built for hunters who want accuracy and reliability without unnecessary complications. Paired with a stainless steel barrel and classic walnut Monte Carlo stock, this rifle balances traditional aesthetics with modern performance. The 6.5 Creedmoor has earned its reputation as a capable hunting round for medium to large game, delivering excellent ballistics and inherent accuracy—and this Howa delivers that potential reliably.
What makes the M1500 a solid choice for the field is its pedigree: Howa's bolt-action platform is known for holding tight tolerances, and this Standard Hunter comes with a sub-MOA guarantee from the factory. The HACT trigger is tuned for clean breaks without creep, improving your shot consistency when it matters. The 1-in-8 twist rate is optimized for the 6.5 Creedmoor, stabilizing the full range of factory and handloaded ammunition you're likely to encounter.
Practical features abound: the threaded 1/2x28 muzzle means you can suppress or attach a brake down the road, the hinged floorplate makes unloading and clearing simple, and sling swivel studs are already installed. At 7.2 pounds and 41.5 inches overall, it's lightweight enough to carry but substantial enough to manage recoil and maintain sight picture. The stainless barrel resists corrosion in wet conditions, and the walnut stock won't warp like some synthetics can. The rifle arrives drilled and tapped for scope rings, ready to accept your glass—no sights are included, which keeps the setup open to your preferred optics and mounting scheme.
This is a hunter's rifle: straightforward, accurate, and built to last. Whether you're stalking elk at elevation or taking steady shots across open country, the M1500 Standard Hunter in 6.5 Creedmoor gives you the foundation to hunt confidently.
