The Charter Arms Mag Pug .357 Magnum revolver is a compact carry gun built for serious stopping power in a genuinely pocketable package. At just 23 ounces and sporting a 2.2-inch barrel, this stainless steel five-shooter delivers the ballistic authority of .357 Magnum in a size that doesn't demand a dedicated holster or a trip to the gym. Whether you're looking for a reliable home-defense revolver, a deep-carry backup, or a truck gun that earns its weight, the Mag Pug bridges the gap between shootability and portability better than most micro revolvers in its class.

Built on Charter Arms' proven revolver platform, the Mag Pug uses a concealed double-action hammer that won't snag on clothing or holster leather during the draw. The five-round cylinder is compact without feeling cramped, and the stainless steel construction handles harsh conditions and salt air without flinching. Black grips provide positive control, and adjustable sights let you dial in your point of aim at working distances—the ranges where most defensive revolvers actually get used.

The double-action-only trigger is clean and straightforward, with no single-action cocking to manage under stress. Reload times with a revolver aren't lightning-fast, but reliability and simplicity have their own speed: a well-maintained revolver doesn't jam, doesn't fail to feed, and doesn't demand a press check in a dark bedroom. For hunters, shooters, and protectors who value rugged dependability in a gun small enough to carry every day, the Mag Pug earns its place in the rotation.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the Charter Arms Mag Pug suitable for concealed carry?

Yes. At 23 ounces with a 2.2-inch barrel and compact frame, the Mag Pug is designed to be carried daily. The concealed hammer won't print or snag, making it practical for inside-the-waistband, pocket, or ankle holsters depending on your setup.

Can you adjust the sights on this revolver?

Yes, the Mag Pug features adjustable sights, allowing you to dial in your point of aim for precise shooting at your typical defensive or practice distances.

What is the difference between .357 Magnum and other common defensive calibers?

The .357 Magnum is a powerful, proven revolver caliber with substantial stopping power and velocity. The five-round capacity of the Mag Pug trades magazine capacity for extreme reliability, simplicity, and minimal mechanical complexity—no feed ramps to clear, no magazines to drop and lose.

Is the Mag Pug a double-action only or can it be cocked?

The Mag Pug is double-action only (DAO). The concealed hammer cannot be manually cocked; every shot is fired by pressing the double-action trigger, which simplifies the gun and eliminates the risk of unintentional single-action mode.
