The Browning X-Bolt 2 Pro McMillan SPR in .300 PRC is a modern, lightweight bolt-action hunting rifle built for serious long-range work and suppressor-ready performance. Browning engineered this rifle around a carbon fiber stock and barrel to keep weight down without sacrificing rigidity—critical when you're hiking steep country or setting up for precision shots at distance. The .300 PRC cartridge delivers flat trajectory and energy retention, making it a credible choice for elk and other large game where range and wind deflection matter.
The X-Bolt 2 Pro McMillan features a carbon fiber–wrapped stainless steel barrel threaded 5/8-24 at the muzzle, ready for a suppressor. The shorter barrel length is optimized for suppressed use, reducing overall length without sacrificing velocity. The action and bolt wear a rust-resistant Carbon Gray Cerakote finish. The McMillan Game Warden 2.0 stock is likewise carbon fiber and finished in Urban Carbon Ambush, a modern digi-inspired camo pattern. A new spiral-fluted bolt with extended handle cycles fast—the 60-degree lift clears large optics easily—and the redesigned receiver adds bolt guidance for smoother operation and better consistency shot to shot.
Browning's DLX Trigger System is adjustable and set to hunting weights from the factory. The rifle ships with a Recoil Hawg muzzle brake and thread protector. An aluminum Picatinny rail for a bipod, a 20 MOA optics rail with bubble level, and Pachmayr Decelerator recoil pad handle the rest. The X-Lock Scope Mounting System uses four screws per base for rock-solid attachment. A top-tang safety and bolt-unlock button add convenient and deliberate handling. The action is bedded at the recoil lug and screws, and the barrel is free-floated for accuracy.
This is a rifle for hunters who want modern materials, suppressor-ready engineering, and a credible platform for long-range game hunting without excess weight.
