The Browning X-Bolt 2 Pro McMillan SPR in 7mm PRC is a modern, lightweight bolt-action rifle built for hunters and precision shooters who refuse to compromise on performance or handling. Chambered in 7mm PRC—a potent magnum cartridge—and fitted with a compact 20-inch carbon fiber-wrapped barrel, this rifle is engineered for real-world hunting where weight, balance, and velocity all matter. The threaded muzzle (5/8-24) is ready for suppressor mounting, and Browning includes both a Recoil Hawg muzzle brake and thread protector, giving you options straight out of the box.
Build quality is where the X-Bolt 2 Pro McMillan truly stands out. The stainless steel action and barrel wear a rust-resistant Carbon Gray Cerakote finish, and the barrel itself is wrapped in lightweight carbon fiber to shed ounces without sacrificing rigidity. The McMillan Game Warden 2.0 stock features a striking Urban Carbon Ambush finish and is bedded for stability at the recoil lug and action screws, with the barrel free-floated for consistent accuracy. A Pachmayr Decelerator recoil pad manages the 7mm PRC's kick, while the spiral-fluted bolt with extended handle and redesigned knob cycles smoothly and fast—the 60-degree bolt lift clears tall optics without compromise.
Handling and control are intuitive. The new DLX trigger is tuned to hunting weights from the factory, the top-tang safety sits within easy reach, and the bolt unlock button adds a second confirmation layer when checking the chamber or unloading. The receiver features enhanced bolt guidance surfaces for smoother, more reliable cycling. Optics mounting is rock-solid thanks to the X-Lock scope base system (four screws per base) and a 20 MOA Picatinny rail with integrated bubble level—excellent for long-range setups. An aluminum Picatinny rail under the foregrip is ready for a bipod.
If you hunt open country where long shots are common, or run suppressed, the X-Bolt 2 Pro McMillan SPR rewards careful shot placement with mechanical accuracy and minimal recoil. It's a rifle built for hunters who understand that lighter, faster, and more precise add up to success in the field.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is this rifle suppressor-ready?
Yes. The 20-inch barrel is threaded at 5/8-24 and optimized for suppressor use. Browning includes a Recoil Hawg muzzle brake and thread protector, so you're ready to add a suppressor when you choose to.
What optic mounting system does the X-Bolt 2 Pro McMillan use?
The rifle features Browning's X-Lock scope mounting system, which uses four screws per base for a secure, repeatable attachment to the receiver. The 20 MOA Picatinny rail is designed for precision long-range shooting and includes an integrated bubble level.
Is the barrel truly lightweight, and will it still be accurate?
Yes to both. The barrel is a stainless steel design wrapped in carbon fiber, which reduces weight while maintaining rigidity. The action is bedded at the recoil lug and action screws for stability, and the barrel is free-floated to eliminate pressure points—a proven formula for consistent accuracy.
Can I easily add a bipod to this rifle?
Yes. There is an aluminum Picatinny rail mounted under the foregrip, designed specifically for bipod attachment.
