The Browning Silver Field 12-gauge shotgun is a versatile gas-operated workhorse built for hunters and clay shooters who demand reliable cycling across a variety of loads without breaking the bank. This 2021 SHOT Show special pairs a Flat Dark Earth Cerakote finish on the barrel and receiver with a composite stock featuring textured gripping surfaces—practical design that handles wet conditions and won't slip when you need a steady mount. The 3½-inch chamber and 28-inch barrel give you the reach for waterfowl and upland game while staying balanced enough for an afternoon at the trap range.
At the heart of this shotgun sits Browning's Active Valve gas system, which cycles everything from light target loads to heavy 3½-inch magnums with minimal felt recoil and reliable function. That flat-shooting balance across the load spectrum means you're not fussing with adjustments or worrying about short-stroking on lighter shells—the gun just works. The Invector-Plus choke system (Full, Modified, and Improved Cylinder included) adapts quickly to your hunting conditions or clay target discipline, and the brass bead front sight gives you a clean reference point in low light.
Built with the composite stock and straightforward engineering Browning is known for, the Silver Field prioritizes durability and value over trendy features. Whether you're pushing into a blind before dawn, walking behind pointing dogs, or burning clays on the weekend, this gun delivers the performance and reliability that make it a field-proven choice.
