The Browning Silver Field is a versatile 12-gauge shotgun built for hunters who demand reliable performance in the field without unnecessary frills. This semi-automatic shotgun pairs a lightweight aluminum alloy receiver with a 26-inch steel barrel, creating a fast-handling gun that doesn't sacrifice durability. Whether you're working upland game, waterfowl, or clay targets, the Silver Field delivers the balanced handling and proven mechanics that have made Browning a trusted name among American shooters.
What makes this shotgun approachable is its combination of classic features and practical engineering. The Turkish walnut furniture is finished in satin and hand-checkered at 18 lines per inch, giving the gun a refined look that won't show wear on dusty hunting trips. The two-tone silver and black receiver with gold-accented Buck Mark engraving catches light without glare in the field. A chrome-plated chamber and matte blued barrel protect against the elements, while the brass bead front sight provides a clean aiming reference in any light.
The Silver Field comes set up for hunters: a 3-inch chamber handles both standard and magnum loads, and the Invector-Plus flush-choke system ships with Full, Modified, and Improved Cylinder tubes so you can adjust your pattern to match the game and range. The tubular magazine holds up to four rounds (3+1), and the brown ventilated recoil pad manages what little kick the 7 lb 4 oz package generates. At 47 inches overall with a 14.25-inch length of pull, it's scaled for most adult frames and swings like a shotgun should.
This is a working gun for working shooters—no synthetic furniture or tactical furniture, just honest semi-auto reliability in a classic profile that fits traditional shotgunning as naturally as a comb fits hair.
