The Browning Maxus II is a gas-operated autoloading shotgun built for upland hunters and clay shooters who want a refined, reliable companion in the field. This 12-gauge, 3-inch chamber gun pairs Turkish walnut furniture with a nickel-plated receiver and gloss-blued barrel—the kind of clean, classic aesthetics that don't apologize for themselves. At 26 inches, the barrel balances fast handling with plenty of shot column, and the whole package comes ready to work thanks to Browning's proven Power Drive gas system and a suite of shooter-friendly features that reduce fatigue and improve consistency over a long day afield.
What makes the Maxus II stand out is attention to the details that matter when you're working through brush or spending hours at the clay course. The stock is fully adjustable via shims for length of pull, cast, and drop—so you can dial in a fit that's genuinely yours, not a one-size-fits-most compromise. The Lightning Trigger breaks clean, the oversize bolt handle and release make cycling smooth and positive, and the SoftFlex cheekpad cushions your face without adding bulk. Speed Load Plus technology means reloading stays quick and intuitive, and the magazine cut-off and TurnKey plug give you control over capacity on the fly. Three Invector-Plus choke tubes (Full, Modified, Improved Cylinder) come in the box, so you're prepared for multiple hunting scenarios or clay targets right away.
The engineering runs deep too: a nickel-Teflon coating guards the internals, the chrome chamber and bore resist corrosion, and back-bored technology keeps recoil civilized. The fiber-optic front sight and ivory mid-bead make target acquisition quick in variable light, and the Inflex II recoil pad shoulders the gun's impulse without excessive felt kick. An ABS hard case is included for transport and storage.
