The Browning Maxus II Wicked Wing is a gas-operated autoloading shotgun built for serious waterfowl hunters who demand reliability, comfort, and performance in harsh marsh conditions. This 12-gauge semi-automatic delivers the proven track record of the original Maxus platform while adding meaningful refinements to recoil management, ergonomics, and weather resistance. With a 28-inch barrel, 3½-inch chamber, and Mossy Oak Shadow Grass Habitat camouflage stock paired to a Burnt Bronze Cerakote receiver and barrel, the Maxus II Wicked Wing is purpose-built for duck and goose seasons where every shot matters.

Comfort and shootability are central to the Maxus II design. The new SoftFlex cheek pad and Inflex Recoil Pad work together to absorb punishment from heavy magnum loads, while the composite stock features rubber overmolding on both the buttstock and forearm to maintain your grip in wet, cold conditions. The stock is shim-adjustable for cast and drop, and can be trimmed up to ¾-inch to fit a wider range of body types and shooting styles. Oversized controls—including a new bolt release and ramped trigger guard—speed up reloading when seconds count.

Under the hood, the Power Drive Gas System continues to deliver across the full spectrum of ammunition while taming felt recoil. The Lightning Trigger, known for its class-leading lock time, combines with the shotgun's trim dimensions and balanced handling to produce the smooth, intuitive swing you need when birds are working your decoys. A Nickel Teflon coating on the bolt, bolt slide, shell carrier, and other key components resists corrosion and reduces friction—critical when you're running this gun hard in salt spray and mud. The chrome-lined chamber and bore add durability for years of reliable service.

The Maxus II Wicked Wing ships with three extended Invector-Plus Goose Band choke tubes (Full, Modified, Improved Cylinder) to fine-tune shot placement, fiber-optic front and ivory mid-bead sights, and a hard ABS case for safe transport and storage.

How does the Maxus II reduce recoil from heavy magnum loads?
