The Browning Maxus II Hunter in 12-gauge is a modern autoloading shotgun built for hunters and clay shooters who appreciate both performance and aesthetics. This 2024 model pairs a gas-operated action with a 26-inch barrel and a strikingly beautiful gloss-finish AAA Grade maple stock—a departure from the synthetic stocks dominating the market. The combination of wood furniture and black anodized receiver creates a classic hunting look without sacrificing the reliability and handling of a contemporary semi-auto.
What sets the Maxus II Hunter apart is its adjustability. The maple stock features shim-adjustment for length of pull, cast, and drop, so you can dial in fit for your frame and shooting style rather than compromise with whatever came factory. The close-radius grip feels natural in hand, and the Inflex II recoil pad absorbs felt recoil without adding bulk. A fiber-optic front sight and ivory mid-bead help you track targets in low light and stay on line through the swing.
The shotgun ships with three Invector-Plus choke tubes—Full, Modified, and Improved Cylinder—giving you versatility across hunting scenarios and clay ranges without buying extras. Whether you're working waterfowl blinds, hunting upland birds, or spending a Saturday on the trap course, the Maxus II Hunter's gas operation cycles smoothly and handles the variety of loads you'll throw at it.
