The Browning Citori CXT over/under shotgun in 12 gauge is built for shooters who refuse to pick a lane—whether you're busting clays at the range or hunting in the field. This is a genuine crossover gun, engineered to handle both disciplines without compromise. The adjustable comb lets you dial in the fit that works for your face and shooting style, a feature you'll appreciate whether you're chasing consistency in the trap house or hunting upland birds across varied terrain. With its 30-inch barrels and proven over/under reliability, the Citori CXT rewards practice with predictable handling and clean, classic lines.
The gun's steel receiver wears a polished bluestock with gold-accented engraving—understated enough for a working shotgun, handsome enough to pass down. You get Grade II American walnut throughout, finished in gloss, with a raised cheekpiece that teams up with that adjustable comb for proper sight picture. The semi-Beavertail forearm includes finger grooves for confident handling, whether you're mounting the gun fast or settling into a steady aim.
Browning equipped the Citori CXT with features that genuinely reduce felt recoil and improve target acquisition: Vector Pro lengthened forcing cones and ported barrels help manage recoil impulse, while the ventilated top and side ribs plus high-post floating top rib keep your sight picture clear. Ivory front and mid-bead sights anchor your focus on the target. The single selective trigger is crisp, the hammer ejectors are reliable, and the top-tang barrel selector/safety puts control right where your thumb lives. Three Invector-Plus Midas Grade choke tubes cover most shooting scenarios, and the Inflex recoil pad rounds out a package that actually listens to what shooters need.
At 8 pounds 10 ounces with a 14⅜-inch length of pull, the Citori CXT balances swing and pointability. This is a shotgun that earns its place in your safe because it works—not because of marketing hype, but because Browning built it right.

Frequently Asked Questions
What choke tubes come with the Browning Citori CXT?
The shotgun ships with three Invector-Plus Midas Grade choke tubes, which provide flexibility for different shooting distances and patterns. The Invector-Plus system is Browning's standard and widely available if you need additional tubes.
Is the Citori CXT good for both trap shooting and hunting?
Yes. The Citori CXT is specifically engineered as a crossover shotgun that performs in both disciplines. The 30-inch barrels, ported design, and adjustable comb make it competitive at the trap range, while the recoil-management features and hunting-friendly ergonomics work equally well in the field.
Can I adjust the stock fit?
The adjustable comb allows you to fine-tune your cheek weld and sight picture. Combined with the raised cheekpiece and the stated length of pull of 14⅜ inches, this gives you solid control over how the gun fits your face and shooting style. Significant changes to length of pull would require a gunsmith.
What does the Inflex recoil pad do?
The Inflex pad is designed to absorb and distribute recoil energy, reducing the sharp felt recoil impulse that comes from shooting 12-gauge loads. This is especially useful during extended clay or hunting sessions.
