The Browning Citori CX over/under shotgun in 12 gauge is built for shooters who refuse to choose. Whether you're chasing targets on the trap line, competing in skeet, running a sporting clays course, or hunting game in the field, this versatile 12ga delivers the performance you need without the weight penalty of a dedicated competition gun. The CX is Browning's answer to the crossover dilemma: one shotgun that handles all three major clay disciplines and still comes to shoulder naturally when the birds flush.
At 8 lbs 7 oz with a 30-inch barrel, the Citori CX balances swing and control without wearing you out after a full day in the field or behind the trap house. The gloss-finished Grade II American walnut stock features an adjustable comb, letting you dial in your sight picture and cheek weld precisely—critical when you're switching between different shooting disciplines or accommodating variations in shooting coat thickness. The Inflex recoil pad helps manage the 12-gauge push, and the adjustable comb means you're not stuck with a factory compromise.
Performance comes from thoughtful engineering: Vector Pro lengthened forcing cones ease shot transitions, while the lightweight barrel profile with high post rib keeps the gun nimble. The ventilated top and side ribs manage heat and glare, and the 60/40 point of impact is tuned to work across trap, skeet, and sporting clays without requiring a complete gun swap. Three Midas-grade Invector-Plus choke tubes give you the versatility to adapt to different courses and game. The Triple Trigger System lets you swap between trigger shoe profiles to find your personal sweet spot—a thoughtful touch that respects how different hands prefer different trigger positions.
Details matter: ivory front and mid-bead sights, a polished blue receiver with gold Citori CX inlay, and chrome-lined chambers built for the rigors of volume shooting. This is a shotgun that grows with your skills and interests, whether you're a clay competitor exploring multiple games or a hunter who wants a single, capable 12-gauge that does it all.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the Browning Citori CX suitable for all three clay target games?
Yes. The Citori CX is designed as a crossover platform for trap, skeet, and sporting clays. Its 60/40 point of impact, lightweight profile, and adjustable comb make it adaptable to the demands of all three disciplines without the need for a purpose-built gun for each.
Can I adjust the comb, and what does that do?
Yes, the Citori CX features an adjustable comb. This allows you to raise or lower your point of contact on the stock to dial in your sight picture and cheek weld, which is particularly useful when switching between shooting styles or accounting for variations in clothing.
What choke tubes come with this shotgun?
The Citori CX includes three Midas-grade Invector-Plus choke tubes. These allow you to adapt the shot pattern to different shooting conditions and game scenarios.
What is the Triple Trigger System?
The Triple Trigger System allows you to select from three different optional trigger shoe profiles to customize your finger-on-trigger position. One trigger shoe is supplied with the shotgun; additional profiles can be swapped to match your personal preference and hand geometry.
