The Browning Citori 725 Sporting Medallion High Grade in 28-gauge with 30-inch barrels is a refined over-and-under shotgun built for shooters who demand both beauty and function. This is a gun for the clay target competitor and upland hunter who appreciate fine craftsmanship—the kind of piece you'll reach for season after season and actually want to show off. The 28-gauge is a joy to shoot; it recoils less than a 12 or 20, makes fast doubles feel effortless, and patterns like a dream when you're working through a course of fire or hunting tight cover.

The Citori 725 Sporting Medallion starts with a low-profile receiver that feels balanced the moment you mount it. Browning engineered the action to stay tight through years of use—the tapered locking bolt accommodates wear, and the full-width transverse hinge pin is designed to outlast thousands of rounds. The blued steel receiver is extensively engraved with gold accents, and the Grade IV Turkish walnut stock wears a premium gloss oil finish and fine-line checkering, with a right-hand palm swell and nameplate inlay for a personal touch. Barrels are high-gloss blued, 30 inches of steel that come with five extended choke tubes to dial in your patterns for any situation.

The Triple Trigger System lets you swap between three different trigger shoes to find your preferred fit, and the Fire Lite mechanical trigger breaks cleanly every time. Chrome-lined chambers boost durability and corrosion resistance, and the Inflex Recoil Pad II soaks up what little recoil a 28-gauge produces. The point of impact is 50/50, making it a natural pointer for both clay games and field hunting. A HiViz Pro Comp sight and ivory mid-bead help you stay on target in any light.

This is a shotgun built to handle steel shot, has the durability to back up a lifetime of use, and wears its refinement without pretension. For the serious 28-gauge shooter, it's hard to find a better argument than a Citori 725 Sporting Medallion.

Frequently Asked Questions

What's the difference between the Citori 725 Sporting Medallion and a standard Citori 725?

The Sporting Medallion is the High Grade version, distinguished by its Grade IV Turkish walnut stock with premium gloss oil finish and fine-line checkering, extensive receiver engraving with gold accents, and owner's nameplate inlay. It's the refined choice for shooters who want both performance and beauty.

Is the Browning Citori 725 28-gauge good for hunting and clay sports?

Yes. The 50/50 point of impact, extended choke tubes, and responsive trigger make it equally at home on a sporting clays course or in the field. The 28-gauge is particularly effective for upland hunting and skeet, with lighter recoil than 12 or 20-gauge options.

What choke tubes come with this shotgun?

Five extended choke tubes are included with the Citori 725 Sporting Medallion. The shotgun uses the standard Invector choke tube system.

Can I shoot steel shot in the Citori 725?

Yes. The chrome-lined chambers are designed to handle steel shot, making this shotgun suitable for waterfowl hunting and other applications where steel is required.
