The Browning Citori 725 Field 28" .410 ga over/under shotgun is a refined, compact shotgun that brings Browning's legendary design legacy into modern sporting and hunting applications. Descending from John M. Browning's iconic B25 Superposed, the 725 Field pairs a low-profile steel receiver with the time-tested durability that's made the Citori line the standard by which other over/unders are measured. This particular model chambers 3" shells and comes with 28" barrels—a classic field length that handles upland birds, small game, and clay sports with ease while remaining quick and pointable in thick cover.

What sets the 725 apart is thoughtful engineering that improves shooting comfort and control without sacrificing the elegant, purposeful feel hunters and shooters expect from a Browning over/under. The mechanical trigger (FireLite) delivers a crisp let-off with lighter pull weights than previous generations, while the new Inflex recoil pad tames felt recoil and makes extended sessions behind the gun less punishing. Invector-DS chokes give you flexibility to dial in patterns for your intended game or clay target discipline. Cosmetically, the 725 Field wears a gloss oil-finished Grade II/III walnut stock with tasteful accented engraving on the receiver—handsome enough for the cabinet, tough enough for the field.

Built on the same rugged full-width hinge pin and tapered locking bolt architecture that's defined Citori durability for decades, this 725 Field promises reliability across seasons and thousands of rounds. The ivory bead sight aids target acquisition in bright or low light. Whether you're working a pointing dog through autumn brush, breaking clays on a Saturday, or passing up poor shots in wait of a cleaner opportunity, the 725 Field rewards your discipline with balance, form, and genuine functional excellence.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the Citori 725 Field good for hunting upland game?

Yes. The 28" barrels and 3" chamber make this shotgun well-suited to upland birds and small-game hunting. The mechanical trigger, low-profile receiver, and balanced handling make it quick and responsive in the field, while the Invector-DS choke system lets you tailor patterns to your game.

Can this shotgun be used for clay sports?

Absolutely. The 725 Field's lightweight, low-profile design, crisp FireLite trigger, and choke flexibility work well for clay target shooting. The Inflex recoil pad also helps reduce fatigue during longer sessions at the range.

What chokes come with the Citori 725 Field?

The shotgun features the Invector-DS choke system. The specific chokes included are not detailed in the available information; contact Bosque Outdoors for the exact set bundled with your 725 Field.

How does the low-profile receiver differ from older Citori designs?

The 725's low-profile steel receiver is significantly lower than traditional Citori receivers, resulting in a sleeker, more elegant profile and a better sight line. This design preserves the full-width hinge pin and tapered locking bolt architecture that has made Citori shotguns synonymous with durability.
