The Browning Citori 725 Field 26" 410 gauge over/under shotgun delivers the refined handling and reliable performance that made the Citori line a standard for upland hunters and clay shooters. This 3-inch 410 combines John M. Browning's proven over/under design with modern refinements: a low-profile steel receiver that sits lower than earlier Citori platforms, traditional checkered walnut furniture in Grade II/III, and Browning's mechanical trigger system for a crisp, predictable break. Whether you're working through grouse cover or honing your technique at the range, the 725 Field offers the balance and pointability that make small-gauge shotguns genuinely pleasant to shoot all day.

The low-profile receiver is more than cosmetic—it lowers the sight plane, reduces felt recoil through better weight distribution, and gives the gun a sleeker profile in the field. The full-width hinge pin and tapered locking bolt design carry forward the durability that has made Browning over/unders a multi-generation standard. The 26-inch barrels suit the 410's inherent handling advantages, and the 3-inch chamber gives you the flexibility to load 2.5-inch or 3-inch shells depending on your game and situation.

Comfort and user preference were priorities in the 725's design. The Inflex recoil pad absorbs recoil more effectively, making longer shooting sessions less fatiguing. The mechanical trigger (FireLite) is lighter and more responsive than earlier Citori offerings. A fiber-optic bead provides a visible sight reference, and Invector-DS chokes allow you to tailor your shot pattern to the distance and size of game you're pursuing. The gloss oil finish on the walnut stock and foregrip develops a rich patina with use and age, and the accented engraving on the low-profile receiver respects the shotgun's purposeful design without excess.

This is a shotgun built to last—and to be enjoyed shooting. If you want a genuine all-purpose over/under in 410 with modern ergonomics and proven Browning durability, the Citori 725 Field belongs in consideration.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the Citori 725 Field good for upland hunting?

Yes. The 26-inch barrels and 410 gauge make it ideal for upland game birds where quick target acquisition and light recoil matter. The low-profile receiver and balanced weight distribution contribute to the pointability upland hunters rely on.

What chokes come with the shotgun?

The shotgun uses the Invector-DS choke system. Specific chokes included are not detailed in the available specs, so contact us for a complete choke set list.

Can I shoot 2.5-inch shells in this shotgun?

The chamber is 3 inches, so it will safely fire both 2.5-inch and 3-inch ammunition, giving you flexibility depending on the load you choose.

How does the mechanical trigger compare to earlier Citori models?

The FireLite mechanical trigger on the 725 offers lighter pull weights and a crisper, more refined feel than previous Citori generations, improving consistency and shooter comfort.
