The Browning Citori 725 Sporting in .410 gauge is a refined over/under shotgun built for shooters who demand precision and reliability in a smaller, nimble package. The .410 is often overlooked, but in the hands of someone who knows its ballistics and limits, it delivers clean kills on upland game and clay targets with less recoil and a lighter overall profile than its 12 or 20 gauge siblings. This 725 Sporting model brings Browning's time-tested over/under engineering to that dedicated .410 community—shooters who've chosen the gauge intentionally and want quality that matches that commitment.
The 32-inch barrels strike a balance between sight picture and maneuverability, while the 3-inch chambers give you flexibility in load selection. The polished blued barrel finish and silver nitride receiver deliver a classic, professional appearance, and the gloss oil finish on the black walnut stock feels alive in your hands rather than plastic-slick. A chrome-plated chamber ensures durability where it matters most. At 7 pounds and 50 inches overall with a 14 3/4-inch length of pull, the gun handles naturally and points intuitively—whether you're working through a driven course or hunting thick cover where a lighter gun is genuinely an asset.
Sighting is handled by a HiViz Pro-Comp front sight paired with an ivory mid-bead, giving you a crisp, visible reference point in varying light. The two-round capacity is standard for the over/under action and reflects the gun's focus on deliberate, accurate shooting rather than volume. If you shoot .410 seriously—clay target sports, upland hunting, or precision shotgun work—this Citori 725 Sporting offers the fit and finish you'd expect from Browning without compromise or filler.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the Browning Citori 725 Sporting a good .410 shotgun for clay shooting?
Yes. The HiViz Pro-Comp front sight and ivory mid-bead provide crisp sight reference, and the 32-inch barrels are a proven length for clay target work. The over/under action and two-round capacity focus the shooter on deliberate, accurate shooting rather than rapid fire, which suits the .410's ballistic limits.
What length of pull does this shotgun have?
The length of pull is 14 3/4 inches, which is a standard dimension. If you have a different build or require a custom fit, have the gun fitted before purchase or consult a gunsmith about stock adjustments.
Can this .410 handle 3-inch shells?
Yes. The chambers are 3 inches, so the gun will safely fire both 2 3/4-inch and 3-inch .410 loads. Always verify that your chosen ammunition matches the marked chamber length.
What finish options are available on the wood and metal?
This model features a polished blued barrel finish, silver nitride receiver finish, and a gloss oil finish on the black walnut stock. The chambers are chrome plated for corrosion resistance.
