The Browning A5 is a legendary autoloading shotgun built for serious waterfowl hunters and upland shooters who demand reliability in tough conditions. This 12-gauge 3-1/2-inch magnum features Browning's proven Kinematic Drive recoil operation—a gas-free, inertia-driven system that cycles everything from light loads to heavy magnums without fussing with adjustments. The flat ventilated rib and fiber-optic front sight paired with an ivory mid-bead give you fast, confident target acquisition in low light, while the fully chrome-plated bore resists corrosion when you're working wet marshes and coastal flats.
Built tough where it counts, the receiver is lightweight aluminum alloy finished in Cerakote Burnt Bronze, and the 28-inch barrel wears the same durable Burnt Bronze finish. The composite stock sports a retro Vintage Tan camouflage scheme with a close-radius pistol grip and textured surfaces that stay put even when your hands are cold or wet. Length-of-pull adjustment is handled by included 1/4 and 1/2 inch stock spacers, so you can dial it in for your frame—critical for fast, comfortable shooting. An Inflex recoil pad soaks up the kick from those 3-1/2 shells, making a full day of hunting or the range far more pleasant.
The A5 comes configured for waterfowl from day one: three extended Invector-DS Goose Band choke tubes (Full, Modified, Improved Cylinder) let you pattern shot for different distances and conditions, and an oversized bolt release button keeps your hand in the grip where it belongs. Everything ships in a protective ABS case, ready to roll.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will the Browning A5 handle 3-1/2-inch magnum loads reliably?
Yes. The Kinematic Drive recoil operation is engineered to cycle a wide range of loads, from lighter field loads to full 3-1/2-inch magnums, without adjustment. The 3-1/2-inch chamber is the standard for this model, making it ideal for waterfowl hunting where heavy payloads are common.
What choke tubes are included, and can I use aftermarket tubes?
The A5 ships with three extended Invector-DS Goose Band choke tubes: Full, Modified, and Improved Cylinder. The Invector-DS system is Browning's standard choke platform, compatible with aftermarket Invector-DS tubes if you want to expand your options.
Can I adjust the stock fit for my frame?
Absolutely. The composite stock is shim-adjustable for length of pull, cast, and drop. The package includes 1/4 and 1/2 inch stock spacers so you can dial in the fit to your shoulder and shooting style—essential for comfort and accuracy over a long day in the field.
What's in the box?
The Browning A5 comes with three extended Invector-DS choke tubes (F, M, IC), stock adjustment spacers (1/4 and 1/2 inch), and a protective ABS carrying case.
