The Browning A5 is a modern recoil-operated autoloader built on the humpback receiver profile that made the original Auto-5 legendary, but engineered from the ground up with Browning's new Kinematic Drive System. This 12-gauge waterfowl shotgun chambers 3.5-inch shells and pairs custom Cerakote Burnt Bronze metalwork on the receiver and barrel with Mossy Oak Shadow Grass Habitat camouflage on the composite stock—a 2020 SHOT Show Special designed to stand out in the blind without sacrificing performance. The A5 is backed by a 100,000-round or five-year guarantee, reflecting Browning's confidence in its reliability across a wide range of loads.
Where the A5 earns its reputation is in execution. The Kinematic Drive cycles everything from light target loads to heavy steel shot, managing recoil through mechanical design rather than gimmicks. A fully chromed bore resists corrosion through long seasons of waterfowling, while the lightweight aluminum receiver and ventilated-rib barrel keep the gun balanced and pointable. The composite stock ships with shim adjustments for length of pull, cast, and drop—plus two spacers for fine-tuning fit—so you're not forced into a one-size-fits-all compromise.
Field details matter here: an oversize bolt release lets you work the gun smoothly even in heavy gloves, three extended Invector-DS Banded choke tubes give you load flexibility, and dual sights (fiber-optic front and ivory mid-bead) make target acquisition natural. The stock's textured surfaces grip wet hands reliably, and the Inflex recoil pad absorbs punishment without bruising your shoulder. An ABS case keeps your investment protected during transport and storage.
The A5 is for serious waterfowlers and serious hunters who want a gun that cycles reliably, shoots soft, and looks right doing it. If you've shot A5s and respect what they do, this Wicked Wing edition delivers the same mechanical trustworthiness wrapped in finishes built to perform in the toughest conditions.

Frequently Asked Questions
What shells does the Browning A5 Wicked Wing shoot?
The A5 is a 12-gauge with a 3.5-inch chamber, so it handles everything from standard 2.75-inch loads to full 3.5-inch waterfowl and turkey rounds. The Kinematic Drive System is engineered to cycle a wide range of shell types reliably, so you're not locked into premium ammunition to keep the gun running.
Can I adjust the stock to fit my frame?
Yes. The composite stock is shim-adjustable for length of pull, cast, and drop. The gun ships with one half-inch spacer and one quarter-inch spacer plus lengthened screws, giving you a total of three-quarter inch of adjustment for pull, so you can dial in fit without aftermarket parts.
What chokes come with this shotgun?
Three extended Invector-DS Banded choke tubes are included, giving you flexibility to match your load and distance. They're fully machined for reliable performance in waterfowl hunting.
Is the A5 reliable in harsh waterfowling conditions?
The fully chromed bore resists corrosion, and the Kinematic Drive System is built to cycle reliably across varying loads and conditions. Browning backs the A5 with a 100,000-round or five-year guarantee, reflecting confidence in its durability in the field.
