The Browning 1911-380 is a modern take on the classic 1911 platform, scaled down to the manageable .380 ACP cartridge and engineered for shooters who want a proven single-action design without the heft of full-size duty guns. This lightweight pistol pairs a stainless steel slide finished in Cerakote with a composite frame and 7075 aluminum sub-frame, delivering a balance of durability and reduced recoil impulse that makes it easy to shoot well. The 4.25-inch barrel positions it between pocket carry and practical everyday carry, making it a natural fit for concealed carry, backup roles, or simply a reliable range companion that doesn't demand a shooting jacket.

Built for the shooter who appreciates traditional 1911 ergonomics, this Browning features an extended ambidextrous manual safety, beavertail grip safety, and a commander-style hammer—controls that will feel immediately at home to anyone familiar with the platform. The steel 3-dot sight system keeps your sight picture straightforward and quick, while the stippled laminated wood grips with Buckmark logo provide solid purchase without fancy texturing that wears through. Eight-round magazine capacity strikes a practical balance between capacity and concealability, and the extended slide release makes charging and clearing the chamber smooth.

This isn't a race gun or a target tack-driver—it's a working pistol built on proven 1911 geometry but trimmed to .380 ACP for softer shooting and easier handling. Whether you're adding to a collection, exploring the platform for the first time, or looking for a carry gun with deep ergonomic roots, the Browning 1911-380 delivers function without the fuss. The package includes two 8-round magazines and a pistol rug, so you're ready to shoot the day it arrives.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the Browning 1911-380 suitable for concealed carry?

Yes. The lightweight design, composite frame, and 4.25-inch barrel make it well-suited for everyday carry or backup roles. The eight-round magazine capacity and traditional 1911 ergonomics give you a practical, familiar platform in a trimmed-down package.

What is included in the box?

The pistol comes with two 8-round magazines and a pistol rug for storage and transport.

Why choose .380 ACP over a larger caliber?

.380 ACP delivers softer recoil and easier handling than full-size 1911 calibers, making the gun more pleasant to shoot regularly and quicker to control. It's an excellent choice for shooters who prioritize shootability and concealability without sacrificing the proven 1911 platform.

Is this pistol ambidextrous?

The manual safety and grip safety are ambidextrous, making the gun accessible for both right- and left-handed shooters. The slide release follows standard 1911 design.
