The Browning 1911-380 is a lightweight, carry-friendly 1911-style pistol chambered in .380 ACP—delivering classic 1911 ergonomics and manual safety controls in a package that's easier to shoot than its full-size counterparts and kinder to your hand during extended range sessions. Built around a composite frame with a machined 7075 aluminum sub-frame and topped with a stainless steel slide finished in durable Cerakote, this single-action autoloader splits the difference between portability and shootability for defensive carry, target work, or anyone who values a proven platform in a smaller caliber.

Shooters familiar with the 1911 will find every comfort item here: extended ambidextrous manual safety, beavertail grip safety, Commander-style hammer, and extended slide release all operate exactly as they should. The 4.25-inch barrel keeps sight radius respectable without the bulk, while steel 3-dot sights provide a clean sight picture for deliberate, accurate fire. Black stippled laminated wood grips with the Browning Buckmark logo add traditional feel and secure purchase, even in marginal conditions.

Capacity runs eight rounds per magazine, with two included in the package. The Cerakote finish on the slide resists corrosion and wear—practical protection for a duty or carry gun that'll see real use. You also get a pistol rug for storage or transport, so you can get to the range or in the field right away.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the Browning 1911-380 good for concealed carry?

Yes. The lightweight composite frame, 4.25-inch barrel, and compact profile make it suited for concealed carry. It's smaller and lighter than a full-size 1911 or many double-stack pistols, while retaining the proven 1911 safety architecture and ergonomic controls many shooters prefer.

What's included in the box?

You get the pistol, two 8-round magazines, and a pistol rug for storage or transport.

Does it have an ambidextrous safety?

Yes, the extended manual thumb safety is ambidextrous, making it accessible from either side for shooters of any hand orientation.

What finish is the slide?

The stainless steel slide is finished in Cerakote, a durable ceramic-based coating that resists corrosion, wear, and doesn't require constant polishing like bare stainless.
