The Browning 1911-380 is a compact, lightweight 1911-style pistol chambered in .380 ACP — a practical choice for shooters who want the familiar 1911 manual of arms in a smaller, easier-to-carry package. Built on a composite frame with a machined 7075 aluminum sub-frame and topped with a stainless steel slide finished in durable Cerakote, this pistol balances durability with reduced weight. It's purpose-built for concealed carry, range work, or backup duty without the heft of a full-size 1911.

The gun carries classic 1911 ergonomics: extended ambidextrous manual thumb safety, beavertail grip safety, and a Commander-style hammer give you the controls you already know. The 3.63-inch barrel keeps the profile compact without sacrificing the accuracy most shooters expect from the platform. Steel 3-dot sights keep you on target in bright and low light, and the black stippled laminated wood grips with Buckmark logo provide confident purchase and classic aesthetics.

Out of the box, you get two eight-round magazines and a pistol rug for transport or storage. The extended slide release makes chamber checks and press-checks smooth and intuitive. Whether you're looking to expand your 1911 collection with something pocket-sized or want an approachable entry point to the platform, the Browning 1911-380 delivers genuine 1911 handling in a format that won't wear you down through a full range session.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the Browning 1911-380 truly ambidextrous?

Yes. The manual thumb safety is extended and ambidextrous, making it operable from either side without modification. This makes it equally at home for right or left-handed shooters.

What comes in the box?

The pistol ships with two 8-round magazines and a pistol rug for transport or storage.

How does the weight compare to a standard 1911?

The Browning 1911-380 is lightweight thanks to its composite frame and machined aluminum sub-frame, making it noticeably easier to carry all day than a full-steel 1911, though we don't have the exact weight specification.

Can I carry this gun concealed?

Yes. The 3.63-inch barrel and lightweight build make it well-suited for concealed carry, though final carry comfort depends on your holster, belt, and body. The .380 ACP chambering keeps recoil manageable for extended practice.
