The Browning 1911-22 is a compact 1911-style rimfire pistol built for shooters who want classic 1911 ergonomics in a .22 LR platform. Whether you're training, plinking, or introducing new shooters to the 1911 action, this Black Label model delivers the familiar controls and handling of a full-size 1911 in a lighter-recoiling, more affordable package. The machined aluminum slide wears a durable Cerakote finish, while the composite frame with 7075 aluminum sub-frame keeps overall weight manageable without sacrificing durability or feel.
The 3-5/8" barrel strikes a practical balance for a compact design—short enough for easy carry and handling, long enough for reliable cycling and decent sight radius. Steel 3-dot sights come standard, giving you a straightforward aiming system that works in bright or low light. The grip is fitted with black stippled laminated wood panels featuring the Browning Buckmark, offering solid purchase and classic aesthetics. Extended ambidextrous safety, extended slide release, and a beavertail grip safety round out the feature set—all the controls you'd expect from a purpose-built 1911, just scaled down and chambered for .22.
This is a true training and plinker's gun. The .22 LR round means soft recoil, low noise compared to centerfire calibers, and genuinely affordable shooting. One 10-round magazine ships with the pistol, and a protective pistol rug is included. If you're serious about mastering 1911 manipulation without breaking the bank, or you want a reliable .22 compact with real 1911 ergonomics, the Browning 1911-22 Black Label is a no-fuss choice.
