The Browning 1911-22 is a rimfire take on the iconic 1911 platform, built for shooters who want the ergonomics and handling of a classic service pistol in a soft-shooting, low-recoil package. With its machined aluminum slide finished in durable Cerakote, composite frame with aluminum sub-frame, and traditional 1911 controls—extended ambidextrous safety, beavertail grip safety, and slide release—this 22 LR autoloader delivers the manual-of-arms you know alongside the affordability and shootability that .22 rimfire brings to the table. At 3-5/8 inches, the barrel strikes a practical balance between compact carry proportions and sight radius, making it equally at home for plinking, training, or introducing new shooters to the platform.
Built on a composite frame with a machined 7075 aluminum sub-frame, the 1911-22 keeps things light without sacrificing the feel of a serious 1911. The black stippled laminated wood grips with Buckmark branding give it authentic period character, while steel 3-dot sights and a Commander-style hammer complete the purposeful aesthetic. This isn't a toy gun dressed up like a real gun—it's a genuine 1911 designed from the ground up in .22 LR, with proper 1911 controls and firing system logic that carries over to centerfire training and carry guns.
The 1911-22 comes ready to shoot with one magazine and includes a pistol rug for storage and transport. Whether you're a 1911 devotee looking for a quiet training tool, a .22 enthusiast wanting proven ergonomics, or someone shopping for a reliable, low-recoil autoloader, this Browning delivers the goods without the hype.
