The Bergara B-14 HMR 450 Bushmaster bolt-action rifle combines Spanish manufacturing precision with a modern platform built for both hunters and long-range shooters. This 20-inch 5R-barreled rifle in 450 Bushmaster arrives factory-ready with the kind of fit and finish you'd expect from a custom gun shop—but at production-rifle pricing. Bergara's reputation in the custom rifle world carries over here: you're getting a two-lug action with a super-smooth bolt cycle, a world-class barrel with a Graphite Black Cerakote finish, and a stock architecture designed around repeatable accuracy from day one.
The B-14 HMR's integrated mini-chassis molded into the stock ensures bedding consistency across shots, while the fully free-floated barrel eliminates contact with the forend—a precision-rifle hallmark. The Bergara-curved trigger is factory-set at about three pounds and breaks crisp, no takeup. You're getting Remington 700 pattern drilling and tapping (6-48 screws), so scope mounting is straightforward with any standard base. The 5/8-24 threaded muzzle comes with a protector and is ready for brakes or suppressors if you go that route.
The stock features an adjustable cheekpiece and length-of-pull spacers so you can dial in a natural sight picture and comfortable length of draw. Quick-detach flush cups are molded in for sling attachment. A 5-round AICS-pattern detachable magazine ships standard. At 9.5 to 9.9 pounds and 40 inches overall, this rifle balances portability with the rigidity needed for reliable precision. Whether you're hunting brush country with 450 Bushmaster's short-range authority or working a rifle range, the B-14 HMR delivers repeatable performance without the custom-shop wait.

Frequently Asked Questions
What scope base/ring system works with this rifle?
The B-14 HMR is drilled and tapped to accept Remington 700 pattern bases and rings, using 6-48 screws. This is one of the most common and widely available mounting standards, so you have plenty of optic choices.
Can I suppress or add a brake to the muzzle?
Yes. The barrel is threaded 5/8-24 and includes a thread protector. You can remove the protector and install a suppressor, muzzle brake, or other compatible device.
What magazine comes with it, and can I use other magazines?
The rifle ships with a 5-round AICS-pattern detachable magazine. AICS magazines are widely available from multiple manufacturers, so you can use compatible 450 Bushmaster magazines from other sources if needed.
Can I adjust the fit of this rifle to my body?
Yes. The stock includes an adjustable cheekpiece and length-of-pull spacers so you can customize cheek weld height and pull length for your preferred shooting position and comfort.
