The Winchester XPR Renegade Long Range SR in .243 Winchester is a precision rifle built for shooters who demand accuracy at distance without compromise. This rifle pairs Winchester's proven XPR platform—known for tight tolerances and reliable field performance—with a Grayboe Renegade Long Range stock and a threaded 22-inch barrel ready for suppressors or muzzle devices. If you're looking to stretch your effective range on medium game or want a serious long-range training rifle, the Renegade SR delivers the stability and features that serious hunters and competition shooters expect.
The foundation here is Winchester's MOA trigger system: zero take-up, zero creep, zero overtravel. That means consistent, predictable trigger breaks shot after shot. The barrel is button-rifled, free-floated, and thermally stress-relieved for accuracy; it's crowned at the muzzle to protect the rifling. The receiver is machined from solid steel bar stock and through-hardened, giving you a rigid platform that resists twisting under recoil. A steel recoil lug is inletted into the stock for additional control.
The Grayboe Renegade stock isn't just pretty—it's engineered for stability. The wide, flattened fore-end and trim upright-profile grip lock in your position whether you're on the bench or in the field, while an undercut buttstock lets you get a solid cheek weld. The Inflex recoil pad directs energy downward to reduce felt recoil and protect your shoulder. Two 1/4-inch length-of-pull spacers come installed, with one extra included so you can dial in the fit to your body.
Details matter at distance: the nickel-Teflon bolt runs smooth and resists corrosion; straight fluting reduces weight and aids cooling; an enlarged bolt knob gives you faster, easier cycling. The Perma-Coat matte finish on the barrel, receiver, and bolt handle is both practical (no glare to spook game) and protective. A two-position thumb safety with a cocking indicator keeps you in control. The 5/8x24 threaded muzzle accepts common suppressors, muzzle brakes, and other devices, and a knurled thread protector is included.
