The Winchester XPR Left-Hand in .243 Winchester is a purpose-built bolt-action hunting rifle for southpaw shooters who refuse to compromise on quality or performance. Winchester engineered this rifle around the needs of left-handed hunters, starting with a fully ambidextrous bolt and action layout that makes cycling rounds, engaging the safety, and operating the magazine just as natural for lefties as it is for righties. The .243 Winchester cartridge delivers flat trajectory and minimal recoil—ideal for varmint hunting, deer-sized game, and shooters building confidence at distance.
Build quality starts with a steel receiver and chrome-moly steel bolt, both finished in Perma-Cote FDE (Flat Dark Earth) for corrosion resistance and a modern tactical aesthetic. The precision button-rifled barrel wears the same durable FDE finish and is free-floated for accuracy, then threaded 9/16 x 24 and topped with a muzzle brake to manage recoil impulse and keep shots on target through rapid fire. The composite stock wears TrueTimber Strata camouflage—a proven pattern that breaks up form in the field—and features Winchester's Inflex Technology recoil pad to soften the shot cycle and reduce shooter fatigue on a long day in the stand.
Field-ready features include the M.O.A. Trigger System for a clean, predictable break; drilled and tapped receiver for quick scope mounting; a two-position thumb safety; an oversize bolt handle for gloved operation; and sling swivel studs for a hunting sling. Detachable box magazine feed means faster reloads and simpler field cleaning. The recessed target crown protects the barrel crown from accidental damage. Nickel Teflon coating on the bolt body ensures smooth, reliable cycling in wet or dirty conditions.
If you're a left-handed hunter or competitive shooter tired of adapting to right-handed designs, the Winchester XPR Left-Hand Strata cuts through the compromise and delivers a rifle built from the ground up for your dominant side.
