The Winchester XPR .350 Legend is a rugged, modern bolt-action rifle built for hunters who want proven performance without the premium price tag. Chambered in .350 Legend—a straight-walled cartridge gaining traction for its mild recoil and effectiveness on medium game—this short-action rifle combines accuracy and reliability in a lightweight, field-ready package. At 6 lbs 12 oz, it's nimble enough for all-day hunts without sacrifice, and the 22-inch barrel strikes a practical balance between velocity and handling in thick cover or open country.
Winchester engineered the XPR around lessons learned from decades of Model 70 development, but with smarter manufacturing that keeps your money in your pocket instead of the retailer's. The heart of that value is engineering that doesn't cut corners: a short-action bolt with a nickel-Teflon coating that resists corrosion and cycles smoothly under field abuse, an M.O.A. trigger tuned for a crisp, predictable break, and a bolt-unlock button that lets you remove a loaded round safely without firing. The detachable box magazine—a feature that costs extra on many rifles—holds three rounds and lets you carry spares without loose ammo rattling in your pack.
The stock is polymer, not wood, which means wet palms and mud won't compromise your grip, and the Inflex Technology recoil pad absorbs felt kick without adding weight. The matte blue finish resists glare and won't telegraph your position, and it's built to shrug off the dings and scratches that come with real hunting. This is a rifle for stalks through timber, hikes to remote draws, and the kind of hunting where your gear has to earn its place in your truck.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the .350 Legend cartridge used for?
The .350 Legend is a straight-walled centerfire cartridge that delivers effective medium-game hunting with mild recoil, making it a popular choice for hunters seeking a flatter-shooting alternative to shotgun slugs in states with specific cartridge regulations.
Is this rifle suitable for a beginner or youth hunter?
Yes. The XPR's lightweight design (6 lbs 12 oz), moderate recoil from the Inflex pad, and 13 3/4-inch length of pull make it accessible for younger or smaller-framed shooters, though always confirm fit and proper firearm training before use.
What's included with the rifle, and will I need to buy a magazine separately?
The XPR comes with a detachable box magazine (3-round capacity). Winchester does not specify whether additional magazines are included; contact the retailer or manufacturer to confirm what's in the box.
Does the XPR accept standard .350 Legend ammunition?
The XPR is built for .350 Legend ammunition. We recommend consulting Winchester's documentation or your retailer to confirm ammunition compatibility and performance specifications for your specific use.
