The Winchester Xpert 22 SR is a lightweight bolt-action .22 LR rifle built for shooters who demand accuracy without the heft. Whether you're training at the range, hunting small game, or running a suppressor-ready rimfire, this 2023 SHOT Show special combines genuine rifle features—like a precision Rimfire M.O.A. trigger and button-rifled barrel—with modern ergonomics and a clean carbon gray aesthetic that won't look out of place in any field or on any bench.

The Xpert SR ships with a steel receiver and barrel finished in gray Perma-Cote, drilled and tapped for scope rings so you can mount optics without gunsmithing. The 1/2 x 28 TPI threaded muzzle accepts suppressors or a suppressor cover, opening up quiet shooting without an extra adapter. A Bentz-style chamber and recessed target crown keep ignition consistent and keep groups tight. The three-lever adjustable Rimfire M.O.A. trigger lets you dial in break weight for precision or defensive work.

The stock is molded polymer with a carbon gray hydrographic finish—lightweight, weather-resistant, and styled with military lines. An underside Picatinny rail on the forearm lets you add rails, lights, or bipods; the rail comes with a cover to keep things clean. Sling eyelets front and rear, an extended bolt handle for positive manipulation, and ambidextrous magazine release rails make the gun equally at home with a righties or lefties. You get one 10-round rotary magazine in the box, and the magazine well accepts aftermarket 10/22 magazines for easy ammunition management and spares.

Paired with the two-piece sight system—ramped post front and adjustable rear—the Xpert 22 SR is ready to shoot out of the box. Add a scope, a can, and either a sling for hunting or a rest for the range, and you've got a rimfire that punches above its weight class.
