The Winchester SXP Buck Bird Combo 20-gauge shotgun gives you two barrels, two seasons, and one versatile platform for hunting whatever game you're after. This is the all-in-one 20-gauge that bridges the gap between upland bird hunting and deer season without forcing you to choose or buy two guns. You get a 28-inch vented rib smooth bore barrel set up for bird loads, plus a dedicated 22-inch rifled slug barrel ready for precision deer hunting—both in a single, compact receiver that swings fast and handles like a dream in the field.

Build quality is solid throughout. The aluminum alloy receiver wears a matte black finish, and the rotary bolt gets a black chrome treatment for durability. Both barrels feature chrome-plated chambers and bores to resist corrosion and extend the life of your gun. The 3-inch chamber handles both 2¾- and 3-inch shells, giving you flexibility in load selection. The field barrel is drilled for Winchester's Invector-Plus choke system, so you can dial in the pattern you need for different bird species and distances.

Handling and comfort matter on long days afield. The synthetic stock resists weather and abuse, while the Inflex Technology recoil pad tames the shot cycle—especially welcome if you're sending a lot of slugs downrange. Sling swivel studs are already installed, so you're ready to shoulder it comfortably over rough country. At 6 pounds 14 ounces, it carries easily but still has enough mass to settle your aim. The 13.75-inch length of pull fits most hunters comfortably, and the drop measurements (1.625 at comb, 2 at heel) are designed to give you a natural sight picture.

The field barrel rides a brass bead front sight for fast target acquisition on birds. Switch to the rifled slug barrel and you've got TruGlo rifle sights and a 1:35 twist built for accuracy at hunting ranges. It's the kind of versatility that makes sense if you hunt both seasons or hunt with family members pursuing different game. One gun, two barrels, endless possibilities.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use this Winchester 20-gauge for both upland birds and deer hunting?

Yes—that's exactly what the two-barrel combo design is built for. The 28-inch bird barrel with smooth bore and choke system is set up for small game and upland birds, while the 22-inch rifled slug barrel with rifle sights is purpose-built for deer. You get the ballistics and sight picture suited to each hunt without buying separate guns.

What choke system does the field barrel use?

The 28-inch bird barrel accepts Winchester's Invector-Plus choke tubes, so you can swap tubes to match your intended load and game—tighter patterns for distant birds, more open chokes for close-range work.

What's the magazine capacity and what shell lengths does it handle?

The magazine holds 4 rounds, and the 3-inch chamber accepts both standard 2¾-inch and 3-inch shotshells, giving you flexibility in selecting loads for birds or slugs.

Does this shotgun come with sling attachments?

Yes—sling swivel studs are already installed, so you can mount a sling right out of the box for hands-free carry in the field.
