The Winchester Wildcat SR is a lightweight, modern 22 LR rimfire semi-automatic rifle built for shooters who want a contemporary take on the classic .22 autoloader. Chambered in 22 LR with an 18-inch barrel and weighing just 4 pounds, the Wildcat SR combines innovative polymer construction with proven Winchester engineering—and it's suppressor-ready with a threaded muzzle right out of the box. Whether you're training new shooters, competing in rimfire events, or looking for a fun, low-recoil rifle that doesn't feel like every other .22 on the range, this is a rifle that delivers both value and genuine innovation.
What sets the Wildcat SR apart is its striker-fired design—an uncommon feature in the rimfire world that gives you improved trigger performance, faster locktime, and reduced trigger pull weight compared to traditional hammer-fired .22s. The hemispherical firing pin adds reliability with rimfire ammunition. The polymer upper and lower receivers aren't cost-cutting; they're engineered for durability and modularity. Push a single button to remove the lower receiver assembly for easy cleaning and service, or field-strip the bolt without breaking down the gun. That kind of practical design is everywhere on this rifle.
The Wildcat SR includes an integrated Picatinny rail on top, along with rails on the underside of the forearm, so mounting optics or accessories is straightforward. It ships with a 10-round rotary polymer magazine that features a last-round bolt hold-open, and it will also feed standard 10/22-compatible magazines if you want additional capacity or options. Ghost ring rear and post front sights are included, and ambidextrous controls—magazine releases, safety, bolt lock, and bolt release—make the rifle equally at home in either hand. The OD Green composite stock has front and rear sling eyelets for carrying, and Winchester offers optional length-of-pull spacers and cheek risers if you need to dial in fit for optics or comfort. A thread protector is included when you're not running a suppressor (suppressor sold separately).
The Wildcat SR is a do-it-all rimfire: accurate, reliable, light enough to pack on all-day adventures, and different enough to keep shooting interesting. This is what Winchester Repeating Arms learned from a century-plus of rimfire heritage, reimagined for modern shooters.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the Winchester Wildcat SR suppressor-ready?
Yes. The muzzle is threaded at 1/2 x 28 TPI and ready for a suppressor. A knurled thread protector is included to use when a suppressor isn't mounted. Note that a suppressor must be purchased separately.
What magazines work with the Wildcat SR?
The Wildcat SR ships with one 10-round rotary polymer magazine. It also accepts magazines designed to fit 10/22 rifles, giving you flexibility if you want additional capacity or have existing 10/22 mags on hand.
Can I customize the stock fit?
Yes. Winchester offers a length-of-pull spacer that adds 3/4 inch to the stock, and a clip-on cheek riser that raises your cheek 1/2 inch—useful if you need to dial in fit for optics or personal comfort. Both are sold separately.
How do I clean the Wildcat SR?
The lower receiver assembly can be removed by pushing a single button, allowing you to clean the bore from the chamber end without a complete disassembly. This modular design makes routine maintenance and service straightforward.
