The Winchester 70 Super Grade in 7mm Rem Mag is a bolt-action rifle built for hunters and long-range shooters who refuse to compromise on quality or aesthetics. This is serious hunting iron dressed in genuine walnut and deep blue steel—a rifle that performs as beautifully as it looks. Chambered in the hard-hitting 7mm Rem Mag, it delivers the velocity and energy needed for elk, mule deer, and other big game at distance, while the controlled-feed action and user-friendly ergonomics make it equally at home on a backcountry hunt or at the range.
Winchester's Model 70 platform is legendary for a reason: the pre-'64 style controlled round feed and claw extractor give you absolute command over the cartridge from magazine to chamber to ejection. The cold hammer-forged, free-floated barrel is bedded front and rear to a forged steel receiver with integral recoil lug, engineered to hold zero through countless rounds and hard hunting conditions. The M.O.A. trigger system delivers zero take-up, zero creep, and zero overtravel—crisp and predictable every time. A recessed target crown protects the rifling and enhances accuracy.
The Super Grade name comes from the details. Grade IV/V full fancy walnut stock with shadowline cheekpiece aligns your eye perfectly with a mounted scope, while the highly polished metal surfaces and decorative steel crossbolt add refinement without sacrifice. One-piece bottom metal with steel floorplate rigidifies the whole system for improved precision. The three-position safety lets you know your status at a glance. Recoil management comes from a Pachmayr Decelerator pad, making extended shooting sessions and magnum recoil more bearable.
This is a rifle for the hunter or marksman who respects tradition but demands modern accuracy—7mm Rem Mag power in a platform refined over decades.
