The Winchester 70 Long Range in .300 WSM is a modern take on one of America's most trusted bolt-action rifle designs—built specifically for hunters and shooters who demand precision at distance. This rifle pairs Winchester's proven M.O.A. trigger system with a 24-inch fluted barrel and integral muzzle brake, engineered to deliver consistent, repeatable accuracy while managing the .300 WSM's considerable recoil. The tan composite stock with aluminum bedding block gives you a rigid, weatherproof platform that won't shift zero, while the matte black action stays low-profile and corrosion-resistant in the field.

Whether you're glassing canyons for mule deer, testing your distance game at the range, or preparing for a long-range hunting season, this Winchester chambering splits the difference between magnum power and manageable recoil. The 3-round magazine keeps the profile compact without sacrificing capacity for most hunting situations. The Pachmayr Decelerator recoil pad absorbs punishment, so you can stay behind the gun and shoot accurately shot after shot.

This is a rifle for shooters who know their ballistics, respect the distance, and expect their equipment to perform when it counts. Winchester's reputation for reliability runs deep—and the 70 Long Range is built to extend that legacy to 600 yards and beyond.

Is the Winchester 70 Long Range suitable for long-distance hunting?

Yes. The .300 WSM caliber, 24-inch fluted barrel, and muzzle brake combination are specifically engineered for extended-range hunting applications. The M.O.A. trigger and aluminum-bedded composite stock support the precision required for accurate shots at distance.

What does the muzzle brake do?

The integral muzzle brake redirects gases to reduce recoil impulse, allowing faster recovery between shots and easier follow-ups—particularly valuable when managing the .300 WSM's power.

What's included with the rifle?

The Winchester 70 Long Range comes as described with the composite stock, muzzle brake, trigger system, and 3-round magazine. Optics, mounts, and ammunition are not included.

Is the .300 WSM a good choice for hunting?

The .300 WSM is a proven medium-to-long-range hunting cartridge with sufficient velocity and energy for most big game at distance, delivered in a more compact platform than larger magnums.
